Just checking in and giving you all an update on Kris. She truly appreciates the outpouring of support from everyone. It means a lot.
The cancer is stage IV so we are fighting it with chemotherapy and radiation. I say "we" because she isn't in this alone. We all support her in one way or another.
Last week's chemo was canceled due to a low white blood cell count. We're hoping for better news this Tuesday!
The address of the hospital for the chemo sessions is:
2001 Medical Pkwy
Annapolis, MD 21402
Donna Pavilion
Outpatient Infusion Center
2nd floor
She's there on Tuesdays from about 9-1. If you can stop by that would make it a bit more manageable and a little less mundane. Just check with Kris to be sure that chemo is still on for the day.
She's still waiting for those recipes and crafting ideas. Time to share! :-)
Kris has made the decision to cut her hair after the effects of radiation started to develop and she's okay with it. We hope you will be too.
For those of you who pray and want to pray a specific prayer of healing, the cancer has spread from her colon to her liver, lungs, and brain.
Kris isn't giving up and neither are we. That's why the blog is called Kris and friends against cancer.
That's all for now. Until next update, be well and spread love.
Peace

Rules of Engagement
Hi there,Thanks for visiting our blog. I'm writing here on behalf of my friend Kris. She was recently diagnosed with Cancer. Together, we'll be using this blog to support Kris in her fight against Cancer. Many of you will have a lot of questions and most of them will be answered here but before we get started I wanted to set a few ground rules.
Kris is not Cancer. She had a life before Cancer and she still does today. She wants to engage with her friends and family here because it is physically demanding to try to see and spend time with everyone in person. So yes, Cancer is a part of her life, but so is crafting, cooking, family and friends. If you want to share a great recipe or a crafting idea or anything that's on your mind, you can certainly do it here.
Please be tactful in your questions. If a question is too personal or not tactfully asked, it will be removed but please know that we understand that you want to know what's going on and we'll do our best to keep you up to speed on her journey.
Phone calls are appreciated but please try to keep them to a minimum. For now, the preferred method of contact is via this blog. Also, please don't be offended if your call is cut short because it isn't personal.
If you want to be involved and assist Kris personally, we will share with you when, where, and how you can do that. Your support is encouraged and appreciated. Shortly, I will be sharing what she needs most. For now, knowing that she is in your thoughts helps more than you can imagine.
